On December 23rd 2017 we participated in the second Slovenian professional conference on psychedelics, this time organized by fellow psychologist Anja Cehnar and the Maribor Festival of Alternative Culture.

The topic of this year’s conference was the question of whether psychedelics can serve psychology the way a telescope serves astronomy and a microscope serves biology. What exactly are psychedelics? And are we at the turning point of the psychedelic renaissance, where we will be able to talk more openly about these substances? The purpose of the first conference on psychedelics in Maribor was therefore to talk openly about psychedelics and raise awareness of their healing potential.

You could listen to both general and scientific findings and ideas of many experts, including two from our Rabbit Hole Institute. Marko Vide, a  specialist in psychodynamic psychotherapy, presented the basics of a safe psychedelic experience in a therapeutic context, while Mina Paš, MD and integrative psychotherapist, presented the healing potential of ayahuasca and the results of our comparative research on ayahuasca and integrative psychotherapy.
